Affichage G4POS

Digital signage for retailers and restaurants

Affichage G4POS lets a business manage its screens online: menus, prices, promotions and messages. Content is prepared in a web browser, and a player connected to each TV displays it. G4POS offers this service to resellers for their clients.

For retailers and restaurants

At the counter, screens show the menu and prices. In the dining room or the window, they promote specials, seasonal products and practical information, such as Wi-Fi access.

Features

What the service includes

  • Simple mode

Each scene is a sequence of images or videos, each with its own duration.

  • Visual editor

Advanced mode places text, images, videos, the time, the weather, a countdown, a QR code or a web page on the scene.

  • Product catalogue

A price changed in the catalogue changes on every screen that shows the product.

  • Scheduler

The scene changes by day, time, date range or specific dates, with a priority.

  • Media library

Images and videos are sorted into folders, with a trash bin.

  • Scrolling ticker

A ticker scrolls an RSS feed or lines you type, such as the special of the day.

  • Remote monitoring

The panel shows each screen’s status and a screenshot. It can sync, restart or update the screen remotely.

  • Playback reports

Reports show display hours by day, by scene and by screen.

  • Role-based access

The owner creates limited access: editor, catalogue only or read only.

Playback reports by day, by scene and by screen.
Process

How it works

  1. Prepare the content

The business prepares its scenes online, from a computer or a phone.

  2. Install the player

The player runs on the signage mini PC, a Windows or Linux computer, or an Android device. It starts on its own and relaunches if it stops.

  3. Pair the screen

The TV shows a 4-digit code. You enter it in the panel, and the chosen scene appears right away.

  4. Keep screens up to date

Saved changes are sent to the screens, and the Sync button applies them immediately.

The TV shows a 4-digit code to enter in the panel.
Remote commands for a screen: sync, screenshot, message, restart, update and volume.

G4POS also supplies a signage mini PC that connects to the TV over HDMI.

Frequently asked questions

What hardware does a screen need?

You need a TV or a display, and a player: the G4POS signage mini PC, a Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) or Linux computer, or an Android device. The screen receives its content over the Internet.

What happens if the Internet goes down?

The screen keeps showing its last content. Display hours counted during the outage are sent once the connection is back.

Can I change a price without redoing the images?

Yes. A price changed in the product catalogue changes on every screen that shows the product. A sold-out product can also be removed from the display.

Can a different menu be shown depending on the time?

Yes. The scheduler picks the scene by day, time, date range or specific dates. A priority settles two rules that overlap.

Which files can be displayed?

Scenes display images and videos (MP4, WebM or MOV). A PDF can also be imported into the media library.
