Cookie policy

What is stored on your device, why, and how to take back control.

Last updated:

1. What a cookie is #

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Other mechanisms, such as local storage and session storage, keep information on your device in the same way, and this policy applies to them too.

Some of these mechanisms exist only to make the site work: they remember a preference, without identifying you, locating you or building a profile. Others measure site usage or serve advertising: those are activated only with your consent.

2. Our approach: no measurement cookie before you choose #

Ss. 8.1 and 14 of the Act

The law requires that a person be informed before a technology capable of identifying, locating or profiling them is used, and be offered the means to activate or deactivate those functions. Consent must be manifest, free, enlightened, given for specific purposes and requested for each of those purposes.

On this site, no measurement cookie is stored and Google Tag Manager is not loaded until you have made a choice in the banner. If you decline, or make no choice, it is not loaded and no measurement cookie is stored.

One exception: Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, supplied by our hosting provider, produce anonymous, aggregated visit statistics for all visitors (pages viewed, referral source, country and region, device type, performance, and certain actions such as a form being submitted, a click on the phone number or a download). They store no cookie, keep nothing on your device, use no persistent identifier, and make it possible neither to identify you nor to build a profile. See the “Cookies and measurement technologies” section of the Privacy policy.

In the banner, “Decline”, “Audience measurement only” and “Accept all” carry exactly the same visual weight. Declining must be as easy as accepting.

3. What we store without your consent #

The values below are kept in the browser, on your device only. They are not transmitted to any third party, cannot identify you and are not used for profiling: they make the site respect your choices, and let a form you decide to send carry where your visit came from.

g4pos-attrSession storageRemember where your visit came from (campaign, referring site, first page) so it can travel with a form you choose to send.Cleared when the tab closes.

4. Measurement and advertising cookies, only with your consent #

If you accept, the site loads the Google Tag Manager container (ID GTM-BNDDHS), provided by Google LLC. That container may deploy Google Analytics, which then stores its own cookies on your device and sends Google information about your browsing, including your IP address.

Google LLC is established in the United States: accepting these cookies results in a transfer of information outside Québec. See section 8 of the Privacy policy.

Depending on the tags active in the container, Google may also store advertising cookies whose names start with “_gcl_”. They are stored only if you have accepted the “marketing” purpose.

5. Change or withdraw your consent #

S. 8 para. 1(4) of the Act

Withdrawing your consent must be as easy as giving it. You can revisit your decision at any time, from this page or from the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.

When you decline after having accepted, your choice is recorded again, the signal sent to Google switches to “denied”, and the measurement cookies set by this site are expired immediately.

A tag container already loaded in the open page cannot be removed from it. Reload the page after withdrawing your consent; it will then no longer be loaded at all. Cookies Google sets on its own domains are not reachable from this site; your browser settings, or your Google account settings, remain the way to delete those.

The button below reopens the preferences panel: you can accept, narrow or decline each purpose there, including after you have already made a choice.

Independently of this site, your browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear the data stored by a site. These settings are usually found under “Privacy and security”.

If you clear this site’s data, your cookie choice is cleared too: the banner will be shown again on your next visit.

7. How long your choice lasts #

Your choice is kept on your device for at most thirteen months. After that it is treated as absent and the banner is shown again.

If the purposes of cookie-based measurement change, for example because a new tool is added to the tag container, we ask for your consent again before anything loads. Consent given for one purpose does not cover another.
