OPOS is the Windows implementation of the UnifiedPOS standard: a driver layer that exposes a point-of-sale device to a Windows application under a logical name, always the same way.
Why it matters to a reseller
A reseller meets OPOS as soon as a client runs demanding Windows software. The layer adds an install and a logical name to declare, but it makes the device interchangeable: swapping a printer then requires no change in the software. Confirm the manufacturer publishes a Service Object before you quote a model.
